Please note that the quality of some of the episodes below had to be lowered in order to have a file size suitable for uploading to YouTube. Also, there may be some differences between the online and broadcast versions of the show.

Season Three, Episode 7

Season Three, Episode Five

From the Ground Up: Activists and Activism in Edmonton. Season 3, Episode 5. The Edmonton Coalition Against War & Racism marks the 13th anniversary of the start of the Second Iraq War. The Mass Blanket Exercise attempts to recreate Canadian history of colonization. Paula Kirman performs the peace song “Walls” at the 2016 Heart of the City Festival. Black Lives Matter in Edmonton. ECAWAR says Get Canada Out of NATO. Featuring original theme music by Bill Bourne and Trancescapes.

Season Three, Episode Four

From the Ground Up: Activists and Activism in Edmonton. Season 3, Episode 4. Fight for 15 urges the provincial government to raise the minimum wage now. The Edmonton Coalition Against War and Racism pickets against Canada’s arms sale to Saudi Arabia. Standing up for Attawapiskat and poor Aboriginal living conditions. Earth Day celebrates the environment. May Day 2016 celebrates International Workers’ Day. The 2016 Edmonton Homeless Memorial honours the lives of people who died in the past year due to not having a home. Supporting the rights of transgender students students to use the appropriate washroom at the Everyone Can Pee Rally. March Against Monsanto 2016 supports food security.

Season Three, Episode Three

From the Ground Up: Activists and Activism in Edmonton. Season 3, Episode 3: The Edmonton Coalition Against War and Racism calls for an anti-war government. Save the Downtown Footbridge has one more public petition. The Edmonton Interfaith Centre for Education and Action organizes the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Good Friday Way of the Cross explores transformations. A rally to urge the Minister of Environment and Parks to not renew the Valley Zoo’s permit because of the health of Lucy the Elephant.

Season Three, Episode Two

From the Ground Up: Activists and Activism in Edmonton. Season 3, Episode 2. Op Human Angels spreads free hugs and random acts of kindness throughout the city. International Women’s Day march and rally. Anti-NDP rally and pro-NDP counter-protest. A celebration of midwives and plea to the provincial government to fund more. The Oromo rally for human rights in Ethiopia. Rally for the River raises awareness of the effects of gravel pits on the fish population.

Season Three, Episode One

From the Ground Up: Activists and Activism in Edmonton. Season 3, Episode 1. Edmonton’s Oromo community protests human rights abuses in Ethiopia. The Edmonton Coalition Against War and Racism demands an anti-war government. The Edmonton Interfaith Centre for Education and Action’s annual multi-faith concert. World Interfaith Harmony Week, with speakers from different faith traditions. “Touch the Sky”, the first art exhibit from First Nations artist Brad Ponicappo. National Anti-Fur Day protests Canada Goose’s use of coyote fur in the trim of its jackets. The 11th annual Memorial March of Edmonton, for missing and murdered women.
