A photograph from Radical Citizen Media was published in the Spring 2012 issue of Canadian Perspectives, the magazine of the Council of Canadians.

Members of the Council of Canadians’ University of Alberta chapter took part in a protest outside of the ceremony where Nestlé CEO Peter Brabeck-Letmathe was presented an honorary degree. Nestlé is one of the world’s largest corporate water privatizers.

The Edmonton Coalition on Housing and Homelessness organized this year’s homeless memorial. Held at the homeless memorial statue downtown, it commemorates the 42 men and women who have died due to a lack of housing. (May 17-May 23, 2012)
